Reliance Industries has announced that its Chairman and Managing Director, Mukesh Ambani, has been conferred the Othmer Gold Medal for entrepreneurial leadership that has resulted in the expansion of India’s petroleum refining industry, creation of the Jamnagar Refinery in Gujarat.
The award was handed over to Ambani on May 16, the Heritage Day of The Chemical Heritage Foundation (CHF), by its President & CEO Carsten Reinhardt, and Raj Gupta, Chairman of Delphi Automotive.
Speaking at the occasion, Ambani said, “As I see the world in the 21st century, there will be 2 very fiercely fought wars — one is a war for prosperity and a better life, and the other is a war for talent and security. We can win both these wars with a comprehensive India-US partnership.”
