Panasonic to launch cheaper products

Briefing reporters, Panasonic India Managing Director Hidenori Aso said the combined entity has pegged an ambitious business turnover of US$2 billion by March 2012 in India in the next one and a hlaf year.  These cheaper varieties of the new joint venture would be available at a cost 15 to 20 per cent less than those available under Panasonic brand.

The company would introduce a new category of small sized refrigerators and air-conditioners for mass at a reduced price.
