“The economy would grow between 6 and 6.5 per cent. My estimate would be closer to the upper end of 6.5 per cent,” he said here while addressing a seminar.
In July the panel had projected a 6.3 per cent economic growth rate in the current fiscal. The Planning Commission had even warned that the economic growth rate could come down below six per cent if the agro sector posted a poor growth rate in the face of impending drought like situation following weak Monsoon.
