Sovereign Gold Bond: NSE gets bids worth Rs 106 cr

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has received about 341 kg worth of subscription bids for the fourth tranche of sovereign gold bond scheme, through its distribution network.

 
Bids were received during the five-day window that ended on July 22, 2016 for the bonds that were issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), on behalf of the Government of India, the NSE said.

Initial estimates show that the total collection stands at 341.6 kg, and is worth Rs 106.5 crore. Earlier, the central bank had appointed NSE a ‘Receiving Office’ for collecting subscription bids from investors. The exchange has received around 8,000 applications, the National Stock Exchange of India added.
