The Union Budget 2025 is the second Budget presented under the Modi 3.0 government, the first having come after the Lok Sabha elections. Like the previous Budgets, this has kept in mind the government's goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047.

A key announcement from the Budget speech was the revised income tax slabs under the New Tax Regime, in a bid to provide relief to salaried individuals and tax payers.

Reacting to the Budget, memes continue to be widely shared online.

Here's a look at some of them.

In a major relief to the middle class, the Narendra Modi government on Saturday announced that there would not be any tax liability on income upto Rs 12 lakh for salaried persons under the new tax regime and raised the basic exemption from Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 4 lakh. Memes about the state of the "middle class" are pouring in.

Bihar got a ‘special treatment’ in the Narendra Modi government’s latest budget, which was the focus of many memes.

Swiggy too joined the fun by posting on X,  “Aaj breakfast mein Bihar special litti hai,” sharing a picture of a popular dish from the state.

In her speech Nirmala Sitharaman said, "Our economy is the fastest growing among all major economies. Our development track record for the past 10 years and structural reforms have drawn global attention. Confidence in India's capability and potential has only grown in this period. We see the next 5 years as a unique opportunity to realise sabka vikas, stimulating balanced growth of all regions."
