In this context, several industry leaders have opened up about their expectations from the Budget.

Divya Kothamasu, Founder of N Space, a Defence & Aerospace startup said “With India emerging as a global leader in space technology, we are optimistic about the upcoming Union Budget and hope for measures to boost the private space ecosystem. Increased R&D funding, tax incentives, and streamlined regulations are essential to foster innovation and strengthen the sector.

Increased collaboration with ISRO, simplified satellite launch processes, and policy support for space-tech infrastructure are critical for startups like ours to scale and compete globally. The right incentives can position India as the hub for space entrepreneurship.

We deeply appreciate the government and ISRO’s support through IN-SPACe, which has empowered startups and fostered innovation. Additionally, dedicated funding and grants for early-stage space-tech companies would enable startups to focus on deep-tech advancements and compete internationally."

Union Budget 2025 | Nirmala Sitharaman, who continues to be Finance Minister, will present her record 8th Union Budget this time. While inflation has burnt a hole in the pockets of 'aam janata', reports suggest there might be a tax relief for those making up to Rs 15 lakh per year.
