Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman tabled the much-anticipated Union Budget for FY26 in the Lok Sabha on February 1, in a speech which lasted for 74 minutes.
Kartik N, CEO-Staffing, TeamLease said, "India’s domestic electronics manufacturing is on a rapid growth trajectory, with production surging from Rs 1.9 lakh crore in FY15 to ₹9.52 lakh crore in FY24. Budget 2025 is set to accelerate this momentum by strengthening local value addition, PLI expansion, and component manufacturing, while also providing a big boost to employment through new jobs and apprenticeships. By reducing import dependence and fostering skill development, this is a step in the right direction—powering India towards self-reliance and global leadership in technology."
