Government of Odisha’s Department of School and Mass Education has announced a strategic partnership with Wadhwani Foundation’s Skills Development Network (SDN). It aims to make Odisha a ‘smart state’ through talent development.
Government of Odisha Commissioner cum Secretary — School and Mass Education Ranjana Chopra exchanged the MoU with Wadhwani Foundation Director — SDN Austin Thomas. As per the MoU, Wadhwani Foundation will provide four years of result-oriented vocational training to students in Odisha. Students can choose a subject from a selection of vocational courses offered to them.
While SDN will provide programme management (design, planning and quality), the technology platform, e-content, and knowledge management expertise to operationalise the Programme Management Unit within the Odisha state, the state will set up and run the Programme Management Unit.
