It has been designed by New York-based Eric Chan, who researched Indian office spaces and developed the chair.
“ICAN’s simple and contemporary design fits well with the dynamic and sophisticated identity of modern offices,” Chan said.
The chair boasts of Aeroflo seat design, composed of perforated seat, allowing free flow of air and reducing heat. It also provides uniform distribution of body weight and eliminates pressure spots. Other features include four-way arm rest for full arm and elbow support, back height adjustment and patented knee tilt synchro mechanism.
The range, with variety of options — medium and high back chairs, selection of fabric designs and colours, et al is priced between Rs 8,000 and Rs 10,000. It will be built at the company’s Chennai plant.
