The Congress on Friday accused the Centre of going "full throttle" on attempts to deny Adivasis justice and said the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) was a "full mockery" of the Forest Rights Act, illustrating the government's hypocrisy.
The Opposition party also claimed that DAJGUA, in "typical Manuvadi fashion", only sees these communities as forest-dwelling 'vanvasis' who are 'labhaartis' (beneficiaries), rather than political and economic actors in their own right.
Taking a dig at the central investigative agencies, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday claimed that they were busy probing incidents like "chicken theft" while cases like the examination paper leaks in UP remain untouched at the behest of the BJP.
Soren alleged that the BJP was behind the paper leaks in the states it ruled, and the money it garnered from there was being used to fund its poll campaigns.
"In Owaisi's addresses, they say how the name was given to Sambhaji Nagar. What is the relation of Sambhaji? When in his meetings it is said that this land belongs to Razakars then I have to remind him that this land belongs to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, it is the land of our ancestors, the Razakars had occupied it and committed atrocities on our ancestors of that time...The sacrifice made by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is known to everyone in history, why do we want to hide it..."
"...Now the public has to decide in the second phase of elections, these lovers of Bangladeshi infiltrators will be completely driven out...He (Rahul Gandhi) is our star campaigner. Wherever he goes, the lotus blooms, grows stronger": Jharkhand BJP leader
Rahul Gandhi's attack on Buch is also seen as a target at Modi-led BJP that has been using the slogan 'ek hai toh safe hai' in their campaigns ahead of Maharashtra and Jharkhand elections, alleging that Congress wishes to divide Indians with their caste survey.
This comes after Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar on Thursday took a personal jibe at Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis over the latter's recent comment about countering "vote jihad' with "vote dharmyudh". Is it that common people will fight this "dharmyudh" while children of leaders will study abroad far away from all this, Kumar asked. "Or will it happen that we will fight to protect 'dharma' while the deputy CM's wife makes Instagram reels," he said addressing a rally for the Congress in Nagpur South West seat.
"If poor people have any right today, then it is because of this Constitution. Before the Constitution, kings used to do whatever they wanted. However, Constitution has given every citizen right to vote," Rahul Gandhi in Jharkhand
Had PM Modi read Constitution, he wouldn't have spread hatred, divided society. PM Modi trying to hand over land worth Rs 1 lakh crore in Mumbai's Dharavi to industrialist. Not afraid of PM Modi, he is puppet of billionaires. Caste census is bound to happen. Rahul Gandhi at Jharkhand rally.
"We are not scared of Narendra Modi, the 56-inch chest, Mann ki Baat...BJP & Modi ji are trying to give Mumbai's Dharavi land to Adani ji. The Congress govt in Maharashtra was overthrown to help Adani ji..."

In a scathing attack on Congress-led opposition in Maharashtra, Union Home Minister and BJP’s chief strategist Amit Shah said that "Maha Vikas Aghadi people are Aurangzeb fan club".
“The upcoming election is going to decide whether Maharashtra will follow the path of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Veer Savarkar or the path of Aurangzeb...Maha Yuti has chosen the path of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Veer Savarkar without any confusion. These Maha Vikas Aghadi people are Aurangzeb fan club,” Shah said while addressing an election rally in the Hingoli district of Maharashtra.
“Sonia ji has tried to land the plane named Rahul Baba 20 times so far and 20 times the plane crashed. Now again an attempt is being made to land it for the 21st time in Maharashtra. Sonia ji, this plane is sure to crash for the 21st time,” Shah said.
Speaking at a rally in Yavatmal district, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, "On one side, Uddhav ji says that - my Shiv Sena (Shiv Sena -UBT) is the real Shiv Sena. I want to ask him, can the real Shiv Sena ever oppose renaming Aurangabad as Shambhaji Nagar?... Uddhav Babu, your Sena is just Uddhav Sena and the real Shiv Sena is with the BJP."
Union minister Amit Shah on Friday dared Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to speak “nicely” about Veer Savarkar and Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray.
“Uddhav ji, if you have the courage, get Rahul Baba to speak two good words about Veer Savarkar and Balasaheb,” Shah said, addressing a rally at Hingoli in Maharashtra ahead of the November 20 state assembly elections.
Speaking at a poll rally in Jharkhand's Bokaro, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said, "In Maharashtra, there is election - the Dharavi's land of Mumbai is costlier than gold. The land is worth rs 1 lakh crore and it is being given to Adani. In the coming days, they will give your steel plant as well..."
Speaking at poll rally in Jharkhand's Bokaro, Rahul Gandhi said, "PM Modi works for billionaires, waived Rs 16 lakh crore of capitalists, did nothing for poor."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was stranded in Jharkhand’s Deoghar airport for around two hours on Friday after his special aircraft developed a snag, an incident that spiralled into leading to a delay in top Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s campaign plans, prompting the Opposition party to cry foul.
As the technical snag in the aircraft could not be rectified, officials said, the Prime Minister returned to Delhi in another plane after over two hours. He was to return to the capital on the Air Force plane after a rally in Bihar's Jamui, around 80 km from Deoghar, on the 150th birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, but as technical issues were detected, his departure was delayed.
With Modi stranded in the airport and a no fly zone in place as per security protocol, Rahul’s chopper was not allowed to take off from Jharkhand’s Godda and land in Deoghar. This led the Congress to approach the Election Commission, saying that it should ensure a level playing field for the polls during the campaign.
In what raised political eyebrows, Shiv Sena (UBT) head and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray sought the help of the BJP for defeating Shiv Sena MLA and minister Abdul Sattar from Sillod in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra.
Sattar had joined Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who now commands the real Shiv Sena party.
In 2009 and 2014, Sattar had won the seat on a Congress ticket, however, in 2019, he contested from undivided Shiv Sena and later joined Shinde during the June 2022-23 split in the party and became a Cabinet minister looking after Animal Husbandry. He is the lone Muslim Shiv Sena MLA.
