With focus on youth and women, the manifesto has promised to provide one crore jobs in the next five years, which, in turn, will help check migration, a major poll issue this election.

Contrary to Mahagatbandhan, the NDA on Friday posed a picture of unity while releasing the manifesto which has been called ‘Sankalp Patra’.

Flanked by Bihar Chief Minister and JD (U) chief Nitish Kumar, Union Ministers Jitan Ram Manjhi (HAM), Chirag Paswan (LJP-R) and former Union Minister Upendra Kushwaha (RLM), the BJP national president JP Nadda released the 'Sankalp Patra' in the company of all the allies here in the state capital.

Promising to turn at least one crore women into lakhpati didis (who earn minimum Rs 1 lakh annually), the manifesto outlines plan to dole out Rs 10,000 as financial aid to all those women entrepreneurs who want to set up their own business and an additional support of Rs 2 lakh if they intend to expand their business.

“The NDA promises to build 50 lakh new pucca houses, free electricity up to 125 units to each household, free medical treatment up to Rs 5 lakh, besides social security pension which has already been raised from Rs 400 to Rs 1100,” said Nadda.

The construction of factories and new industrial parks in every district have been assured in the manifesto, besides promising to make Bihar as the textile and silk hub of South Asia.

The Sankalp Patra also has sops for farmers. “Apart from the ongoing support for farmers, an additional Rs 3000 will be provided under a new scheme – Karpoori Thakur Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme which will then hike the financial assistance to farmers from Rs 6000 to Rs 9000,” said Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, who is also the Finance Minister in the outgoing government.

“This Sanklap Patra is the guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the trust of the Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar,” said Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal.

Pointing towards the five allies of the NDA, the Bihar BJP chief said, “We five allies are like Pandavas of Mahabharat and are fighting against alliance led by Tejashwi Yadav who symbolises ‘jungle raj’ and Rahul Gandhi who symbolises corruption,” said Jaiswal.
