CPM's mouthpiece in Kerala, Deshabhimani, has expressed regret in referring to Rahul Gandhi as "Pappu".
In an editorial criticising Rahul Gandhi's decision to contest from Wayanad in Kerala, the party mouthpiece referred to him as "Pappu".
However, after editorial invited criticism, as "Pappu" is something the BJP uses to refer to Rahul, the newspaper's resident editor P M Manoj expressed regret.
Calling the usage inappropriate, he said the mistake will be corrected.
