New Delhi: What happens to a leader after losing an election? Senior AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj believes he has become an "unemployed leader" now.
So, he launched a YouTube channel 'Berozgar Netaji' (unemployed leader) to interact with the public. Bharadwaj says Delhi has changed after the Assembly elections, which the AAP lost, and life has turned 180 degrees for people like him and is planning to upload his first video on the channel on Thursday.
The aim of this channel is to connect directly with the public and answer their questions in an "open and transparent" manner. Bharadwaj promises to come up with a new topic every day on his channel, which he believes will provide an interactive platform for people to connect with him.
In the 58-second introductory video he posted on the channel, Bharadwaj said that many people are asking questions about this on WhatsApp and X. The channel has already got around 48,200 subscribers within three hours of its launch on Wednesday.
"I will tell you what changes in the life of a leader after losing the election. Along with this, I will also answer all the questions of the people. Through this channel, I want to share about my journey and answer your questions directly. You can also send me your questions," he says.
The 45-year-old engineer-turned-politician was defeated in Greater Kailash constituency by BJP’s Shikha Roy. Bharadwaj, a close confidante of AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and a member of the party’s Political Affairs Committee, has been representing Greater Kailash since 2013.
