With BJP looking set to return to power in Delhi after nearly three decades, citizens in the nation's capital are questioning what will happen to all the schemes launched by Kejriwal once BJP takes over. Union Minister J P Nadda, during the party's manifesto launch for the Delhi elections, had answered this question.

Addressing a press conference, Nadda had said that no schemes of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government will be stopped, and instead will be improved upon by BJP while eliminating all scope of corruption in "AAP-DA" (disaster created by AAP).

He had said the BJP promises Rs 2,500 monthly allowance for women under 'Mahila Samridhi Yojana', surpassing the AAP's poll promise of Rs 2,100 and equalling Congress' Rs 2,500.

Another promise promised was Rs 2,500 pension for senior citizens (an increase from AAP's Rs 2,000) between the age of 60-70 and Rs 3,000 (an increase from AAP's Rs 2,500) for those older than 70, widows, and persons with disabilities.

Alleging that mohalla clinics started by AAP government as "dens of corruption and inefficiency", he had said there has been a scam of Rs 300 crore and this will be investigated when a BJP government is formed.

Seeking to woo slum dwellers, he had said 'Atal Canteens' will be set up in slum clusters to provide nutritious meals at Rs 5. He had alleged that AAP government had announced setting up 100 'Aam Aadmi' (common man) canteens years ago but none of them were started.

Delhi Assembly Election 2025 | Counting is underway for the Delhi assembly elections. The first of two state assembly polls this year sees a contest between AAP and BJP in the nation's capital. AAP decided to contest the polls alone, causing rumours of a rift in I.N.D.I.A. BJP, meanwhile, is hoping the liquor excise policy scam and pollution in Delhi will give the saffron party an edge over AAP. Kejriwal, on the other hand, has different plans with his demand for reservations for Delhi Jats. Congress will also be looking to make its presence felt and has not held back from attacking its own alliance partner.
