Prior to the meeting where the PM addressed the office bearers, party president JP Nadda held a meeting of the party’s various morchas and state units. In this meeting, details of organisational exercises and their review was held. The preparedness of each wing or state unit for the 2024 elections is also likely to be discussed during the two day meet, sources said.

Other issues which are to be fleshed out in the two-day meet are the expansive ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan’ – a central government programme through which the BJP is reaching out to existing and potential beneficiaries of its flagship schemes – the effect of the recent five assembly polls in the Lok Sabha polls, as well as the BJP’s nationwide plans to celebrate the birth anniversary of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The party’s plans to utilise the inauguration of Ram Temple on January 22 next year, in which the Prime Minister will be a chief guest, ahead of the 2024 elections is part of the discussions. Sources said that a special nationwide plan will be mounted to take the message to every booth in the country.

Party leaders will alo present their views to find a solution to the issues of the Opposition mobilising the caste census and discussions on increasing the participation of the OBC community in its programmes will be discussed.
