Disgruntled Congress MLA from Gokak, Ramesh Jarkiholi, on Thursday said that the state would witness a political polarisation after the Lok Sabha election results and that many leaders would no more travel in cars sporting red beacons.

Speaking at an event to felicitate his son Amarnath for being elected as a director of Bemul, at his residence here, the estranged legislator predicted that the Kumaraswamy-led coalition government would fall anytime after May 25 and no one should fear those moving around in beacon cars.

“Don't trust the opportunists, betrayers and backstabbers,” he said, without naming his estranged brother and Forest Minister Satish Jarkiholi.

"Trust me, we are up for big things after May 25," he said and added that MLA Mahesh Kumathalli was with him.

The Athani legislator, who was identified with rebellion group led by Ramesh Jarkiholi, had sprung a surprise recently saying that he won't quit the Congress.
