Shivamogga/DHNS: MP B Y Raghavendra suggested Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to include prominent pilgrimage centre, Kollur under the Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive, (Prasad) scheme. The Kollur Mookambika temple nestled amidst greenery and serene surroundings, attracts devotees from far and wide. This makes it a potential centre for spiritual and eco-tourism, MP Raghavendra added. He opined that a formal listing would enable focused investment and regional growth.
In a press release issued here, he also urged the Finance Minister to expedite the disbursal of remaining NABARD subsidy for a sponsored agri-processing unit that has already received Rs 50% subsidy. Timely support will benefit farmers across the state with improved rural infrastructure and value addition, he observed.
MP Raghavendra also urged early sanction of posts and fund allocation for Central government’s health scheme wellness centres approved in Shivamogga, Mangaluru and Udupi. Quick action will enable the Health Ministry to operationalise these much-needed facilities, he explained.
