Congress president Rahul Gandhi will file his nomination for the Lok Sabha election at Wayanad in Kerala on Thursday, April 4th.

The Special Protection Group and the Kerala Police are working on security arrangements at Kalpetta town in Wayanad for Rahul Gandhi's visit, especially since there were threats of left wing extremist groups in the district. The district recently witnessed the killing of a naxal leader in an encounter with police.

Rahul, accompanied by his sister Priyanka Gandhi, is expected to reach Kalpetta by around 11 a.m. by helicopter from Kozhikode district. He is expected to proceed to the district collectorate in a road show covering about one kilometre.
