On the ocassion, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting would hold a three-day retrospective of five films produced by the banner from September 4.
On the opening day, Dev Anand would be the guest of honour during the function titled 'Navketan at 60', where he will be felicitated by Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni.
His magnum opus 'Guide' will be the first of the five films to be screened on the occasion, the other four being 'Baazi', 'Taxi Driver', 'Hum Dono' and 'Jewel Thief'.
Ministry sources said the coloured version of 'Hum Dono' is likely to be screened during the event.
Navketan Films banner was established by Dev Anand along with his elder brother -- the late filmmaker Chetan Anand -- in 1949. Its first production was 'Afsar' in 1950 starring Dev Anand and Suraiya.
The banner over the last 60 years, has given Hindi cinema some memorable films including 'Tere Ghar Ke Saamne', 'Kaala Paani' and 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna'.
