"We have done many films together. And those films have done very well at the box office. Hope this film will also do well," Akshay told mediapersons here Saturday.
He was all praise for the actress and said she has done a commendable job in B-town.
"Six-seven years ago she came from London to Bollywood. She couldn't speak a single word of Hindi. But it's really a big achievement that this girl has today attained such a huge success in this industry," the actor said.
"All this is because of the love and affection you have given to her. Hats off to her success in Bollywood," he said.
Akshay and Katrina were in Kolkata for the promotion of "Tees Maar Khan", which is slated to release Dec 24.
