Carrying the cross of flamboyant director Shankar’s acolyte as also alumnus of Chennai Film Institute, Arivazhagan makes his bow with Eeram.
Sure enough, bright sparks of his erstwhile twin associations are evident in his directorial debut; he has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues.
However, Arivazhagan’s exuberance makes him push Eeram’s envelope “Everywhere, Nowhere & Somewhere” as goes its teaser.
Arivazhagan weaves a soft, mushy, romantic revenge mystery where the murderer’s name is ‘Maranam’ (death) and his ayudham (weapon) H20 (water). Fetchingly photographed, moderately performed, Eeram is more an ode to water than a taut thriller it touts to be.
