Ayesha in Jayahe
Ayesha in Jayahe

A young woman (Ayesha) goes in search of her hacker father (Avinash in a pathetic role) abducted by his friend.

Along the way, the karate-ka learns Kalarichi (a martial art form obscure even to Wikipedia!) to fight against her father’s abductor. She’s helped along in her mission by her Master Drona (Thriller Manju) and a pair of nincompoops who are cops!

With Thriller Manju at the helm and a performer like Ayesha, “Jayahe” is a 24-carat gold-plated action every few minutes. But her expressions are limited, perhaps because of the unfamiliar language.

With a wafer-thin story and dialogues (Kamal Sarathi) that are dated, there is little else to look forward to. The track involving Jai Akash and Pooja Pandit turns out to be an unnecessary waste.  “Jayahe” is nowhere close to a van Damme flick, but ‘pure’ action films are rare!
