National Award winning actor Manoj Bajpayee will reprise the role of a gay professor in his next film directed by Hansal Mehta.

“Yes, the character is that of a 60-year-old professor who is gay. We are going to start shooting in January and the preparations have already started,” said Manoj.

The untitled film is based on a real-life story of a suspended professor at Aligarh University, who was caught on camera in a compromising position with a rickshaw-puller.

Mehta is known for making movies based on hard-hitting real-life stories. His last critically acclaimed movie 'Shahid’ was inspired by the life of slain lawyer and human rights activist Shahid Azmi.

Manoj, who is now busy promoting 'Tevar', will also next work with actress Tabu in yet-to-be titled film directed by debutant Mukul Abhyankar. The film will be co-produced by Neeraj Pandey.
