Bollywood actress Vidya Balan, whose love for all things Bengal is well known, today regretted not getting a chance to work with late Rituparno Ghosh.

"When I was driving to the hotel from the airport, I was thinking of Rituda because I used to have conversations with him almost on every visit that we will work together for a movie, but that did not happen," Vidya told reporters here.

Ghosh, who had won many national and international awards for his groundbreaking cinema, died of cardiac arrest last month.

Vidya said had Ghosh been alive she would have definitely worked with him as she has been wanting to act in a Bengali film since many years.

The 35-year-old actress, known for her work in films like 'Kahaani', 'Parineeta' and 'The Dirty Picture', had made her acting debut with Goutam Halder's Bengali film 'Bhalo Theko' in 2003.

"But I'm sure I will do another Bengali film," said the actress who considers Kolkata her second home.

Vidya was in the city to promote her forthcoming movie 'Ghanchakkar' which also stars Emraan Hashmi.
