Manoj Bajpayee, who will be next seen playing Bahubali, a love-struck character in Boney Kapoor's 'Tevar' said that negative characters are hard to portray and he had to make a effort to evoke laughter.

The actor says that working with Arjun Kapoor was a major reason for him to do this film. He also felt protective of Arjun as he and Boney Kapoor have had a long association.

As quoted in TOI, Manoj says, "I've seen Arjun's growth as an actor. I also feel very protective about him as Boney and I go back a long way. We even worked on Bewafaa together. My friendship with Sanjay Kapoor too has lasted for over 14 years."

Tevar stars Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Manoj Bajpayee and Kader Khan and is directed by Amit Sharma. It releases on Jan 9, 2015.
