This one looks like director Rajeev Anchal’s bid to touch hearts with a woman-centric story. He has played up sentiments but there is hardly anything to cherish in the movie.

Simple and elegant Veena (Meera Jasmine) has been brought up in a conventional Brahmin family. She proclaims she is ‘smitten’ by music and her biggest ever dream is to sing in films.

Even the slightest threat to her deep-rooted ambition pushes her into a fit of rage.  She bumps into Amir (Manoj K Jayan), a sandalwood smuggler. She instantly finds her saviour in him, but the beau turns out to be a nasty, possessive husband, who shatters her dream.

Repeatedly battered by life’s tragedies, she turns a real schizophrenic. A slew of the best talent in  cast appears to have been constricted by a loose script. The film is based on music theme, but the melodic content is not as appealing as one would wish.
