Director Quentin Tarantino is among the Hollywood A-listers who have objected to the asset sale of embattled production house The Weinstein Company (TWC).

The film company is currently taking bids for its assets as it faces bankruptcy in the aftermath of a massive sexual harassment scandal involving its co-founder Harvey Weinstein in October last year.

The "Hateful Eight" director has filed court documents stating that the company owes him over USD four million in royalties for his films.

He is joined by a host of big names like Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, Rachel McAdams, Jake Gyllenhaal and others.

Tarantino claims that the TWC has to pay USD 300,000 for "Grindhouse", USD 575,000 for "Inglorious Basterds", USD 1.25 million for "Django Unchained" and nearly USD 2.5 million for "Hateful Eight", according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Tarantino and Weinstein collaborated on a number of projects, starting from "Pulp Fiction". However, their ties soured after the scandal.

Pitt and DiCaprio, who appeared in Weinstein backed films "Inglorious Basterds" and "Django Unchained" respectively, have also objected to asset sale.

Streep is seeking payment for her work on the film "August: Osage County" and "The Giver", while Lawrence claimed the company owe her more than USD 102,000 for her Oscar-winning film "Silver Linings Playbook".

Gyllenhaal is also seeking money for his boxing drama "Southpaw", alongside co-star McAdams.
