Season 1 of Umbrella Academy was loved widely for its weird narrative and light/dark narrative style.
So what happens when such a joyride hits a season 2? There is an array of issues with Umbrella Academy Season 2.
The first season did too, but it was not so obvious. From basic filmmaking mistakes like continuity to plot holes, the issues with the show are several.
Moreover, the show’s slapstick even swoops down to fart jokes and poorly acted-out bits. After a time jump, Five lands on a timeline that is unfamiliar to him -- 1963, a few days before American President J F Kennedy is murdered.
He realises that his siblings, just like him, have been scattered between the years 1961 and 1963. Some of them have even started out a new life on their own in different sections of the society.
We quickly hit a new plotline where their ambitious time jump has accidentally triggered another apocalypse: the mission is to dodge this one just like in the first season.
The cliffhanger was great and it surely deserves a third season, but I hope they make a more interesting third season.
