On Maharashtra Day, the grand event for roller skating and hula hoop was recently organized by world skating champion Rishi Sarode in Mumbai. Aged between 5 to 11 years, eight girls & a boy for the first time in history performed hula hoop wearing on quad skates for 6 minutes and four seconds, creating a world record.

But that’s not all. A boy named Jash Sarode, created a unique world record by performing hula-hoop on inline skates for 7 minutes.

Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela graced the event and congratulated the kids on their special achievement.

She said, “I have represented India at various event and I felt that I need to encourage them to make this world record so I made sure to attend this event. I think these are really wonderful kids, they are very beautiful creation. I believe that god always gives you the unique gift of talent, and how do you use your talent is the gift to god. They have not only given this wonderful gift to god but even their coach, parents and grandparents and I am so happy to be here.”

But preparing these kids for this mega event wasn’t an easy task. Rishi Sarode, who mentored these kids, said, “We prepared for more than a year for this event and I am quite proud that these kids have accomplished a world record at such a young age. It’s been really a tough journey for all of us. I had  to go through their mentality and emotional needs to understand these kids. These kids are delicate yet very powerful.”
