The movie created more buzz with the announcement of Ayan Mukerji at the helm. Made on a massive budget of Rs 400 crore, War 2 became one of the most talked-about projects in the industry, with everyone pinning high hopes on the movie to be a visual feast.

Even industry experts and insiders pinned high hopes on the film, believing it to be a potential game-changer for Bollywood. Clashing with Rajinikanth’s Coolie and opting for minimal promotional activities further elevated the buzz, suggesting that the makers are supremely confident about the project and that it would win over audiences.

However, everything goes for a toss as the first impressions from the audience suggest that the movie is highly disappointing. Minutes into the movie, the film begins to lose its grip on the audience majorly due to its weak and underdeveloped screenplay. As the story unfolds, it only goes downhill.

While Hrithik Roshan gives another flawless performance, netizens are disappointed with the treatment given to Jr. NTR. While the actor lived up to the expectation, unfortunately, his character is a major letdown. Many felt that his talent has been underutilised, and his fans are disappointed with his work in War 2.

The film fails to deliver on nearly every front, with many viewers describing it as confusing, chaotic, and downright cringeworthy. Even Kabir’s (Hrithik Roshan) mentions of Tiger (Salman Khan) and Pathaan (Shah Rukh Khan) fall flat, lacking the spark fans hoped for.

According to several movie critics, the film has completely collapsed under the weight of expectations and is now being labelled one of Bollywood’s biggest flops.

The film is directed by Ayan Mukherji and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films and is part of the YRF Spyverse. The film will also feature Kiara Advani, Ashutosh Rana and Anil Kapoor in major roles.
