At a presser on the eve of his birthday, Khan sang for his audience as he went on to reveal his new found interest.

"I am learning new things every year, I have been learning Indian classical singing... I love singing. My guru is Sucheta Bhattacharjee, I am enjoying a lot," the singer told mediapersons.

This is not the first time Aamir announced that he has been learning music from Sucheta Bhattacharjee. In a video shared by Sucheta back in 2024, Aamir had said that he enjoyed singing and it felt like meditation to him.

"I have a guru...Sucheta ji is my guru and I have been training since the last one year," Aamir can be heard saying in this video.

Who is Sucheta Bhattacharjee, Aamir Khan's music teacher?

A renowned Indian classical singer, Sucheta Banerjee is one among the leading voice trainers in the country who was introduced to the journey of music several decades back by her mother.

Sucheta founded the Centre of Excellence in Indian & Western Music, Shillong & Tura, in collaboration with the Meghalaya government.

She has also trained hundreds of students across India, many of whom went on to win shows like Zee Little Champs, Star Voice of India, Zee SaReGaMaPa, Colors/ Sahara Sur Kshetra, among others.
