Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said on Friday that he is in regular touch with the four Congress MLAs who were absent during the Congress Legislative Party meeting held earlier in the day.

Kumaraswamy was in Kolkata to attend the Trinamool Congress’ (TMC) mega rally on Saturday. “Nothing will happen. I am in regular touch with them (the four Congress MLAs). They will also come and join us,” said Kumaraswamy. He also alleged that the BJP tried to destabilise the Congress-JD(S) government in Karnataka and was offering money to the Congress MLAs.

“You have seen in the last one week how the BJP tried to destabilise the stable government in Karnataka. I want to ask the prime minister one question. Recently, at the executive committee meeting in Delhi, he said that he wanted to remove corruption and clean the country. Then what is happening in Karnataka? Which money they are offering to the Congress MLAs?” said Kumaraswamy.
