The test was scheduled on launch pad number four of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) testing centre in Wheelers island off Orissa’s Badrak district.

“All preparations were over for the important test firing but it had to be postponed because of a technical snag at the last minute,” sources at the premier missile testing centre said.

The test had been considered vital as the missile had failed a previous test in December 2010.
