The BJP president Amit Shah on Thursday met top RSS leaders in the capital in the first such high-level interaction in the backdrop of talks with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over government formation in Jammu and Kashmir, the trust vote in Bihar, and the Delhi poll debacle.

Shah met RSS deputy chief Suresh Bhayyaji Joshi, RSS joint general secretaries Dattatreya Hosbole, Suresh Soni and Krishan Gopal at “Keshav Kunj”- the RSS headquarters here. Shah also had a detailed discussion on the BJP’s internal affairs with Krishan Gopal, the RSS pointsman in dealing with BJP affairs.

The RSS leaders are understood to have cautioned the BJP leadership about the pact with the PDP, urging it to weigh all pros and cons before agreeing to dilute the provisions of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act.
