Some members of “Team Anna” feel that the anti-graft activist should travel across the state during the election campaign and ask voters to shun tainted candidates.
“Anna Hazare should appeal to the voters to shun the candidates having a tainted past or those who face criminal charges....he should ask the voters to elect candidates with clean image irrespective of their political affiliations'', a member of “team Anna” said.
“No need to name any particular candidate...just ask the people to support those with good record'', the member said. “The objective is to make sure that the MLAs reaching the assembly have clean image'', he added.
“We will try to persuade Anna to visit UP during the assembly elections and address public meetings at least in all divisions'', he said.
