Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday  advised his Council of Ministers that the benefits of the government schemes should reach out to the people who voted his government to power with a hope for better future. Modi also reiterated to ministers the importance of keeping good officers in their personal staff instead of family members.

The PM’s first interaction with his ministers at his 7 RCR residence came as a long evening meeting, which lasted for more than three hours after starting at around 6 pm.
He briefed them about his expectations from them, apart from broadly knowing their priorities for the 100-day agenda.

Modi also decided to meet individual ministers separately to supervise their functioning – a style different from that of the previous prime minister Manmohan Singh, who was unable to pull along the ministers of his coalition government leading to policy paralysis.
