Refuting Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra’s allegation that his relatives and acquaintances have been appointed as Officers on Special Duty (OSDs) at the Raj Bhavan, West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday said that she was “factually wrong.”
He also dubbed the allegation as a “distraction strategy” to divert public attention from the deteriorating law and order situation in the State.
“Assertion @MahuaMoitra in tweet & Media that six coterminous appointee OSDs in personal staff are relatives is FACTUALLY WRONG.OSDs are from three states and belong to four different castes. None of them is part of a close family. Four of them are not from my caste or state,” tweeted Dhankhar.
“This is unfolding of “distraction strategy” to divert attention from alarming law and order scenario @MamataOfficial.Would continue undeterred and with zeal to serve the people of the state and vindicate my oath of office under Article 159 of the Constitution,” he stated in another tweet.
The TMC MP on Monday shared a list of names on Twitter OSD-coordination Akhil Chowdhury, OSD-administration Ruchi Dubey, OSD -protocol Prashant Dikshit, OSD-IT Koustav S Valikar, OSD to Governor Abbhudoy Singh Shekhawat and newly appointed OSD Kishan Dhankar.
Moitra said that Shekhawat is the son of Dhankhar’s brother-in-law, Ruchi Dubey and Prasant Dikshit are the wife and brother of his former ADC Major Gorang Dikshit. She further alleged that Valikar is the brother-in-law of his current ADC Janardan Rao and Kishan Dhankar is a close relative of the Governor.
