Union Minister Beni Prasad Verma had to face wrath of the Congress high command on Wednesday for making derogatory remarks against Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav recently.
The Congress leader, who kicked up a fresh row with his barbs at friend-turned-foe Yadav, was reprimanded by the party leadership for making personal attack on the SP supremo. He was also warned against doing so in future.
“I met him (Verma) on Wednesday and told him that senior leadership of the party has taken serious note of his statement (against Yadav). I warned him that he should desist from making such statement in future,” Congress general secretary said.
