After staying behind the curtains during the entire period of political turmoil in Arunachal Pradesh, the BJP has finally decided to join the People’s Party of Arunachal-led government.

Arunachal Pradesh Governor V Shanmuganathan on Friday administered the oath of office and secrecy to BJP MLA Tamiyo Taga, who became a member of the Pema Khandu Cabinet.

The saffron party was lending outside support to the Khandu-led government.

Green signal
All this while, the state BJP refrained from joining the government, but recently the national leadership gave a go-ahead, paving the way for the state unit to join the government.

In all likelihood, three more BJP MLAs would be inducted in the Khandu Cabinet soon, BJP sources said.
