The BJP may take action against controversial MP Sakshi Maharaj after his reply failed to convince the party. The party is upset with him for his embarrassing pro-Hindutva statements. The BJP feels that his statemnets led the party’s humiliating defeat in Delhi polls.
A day after the Assembly results were out, Maharaj changed his stand and blamed himself for the defeat. He, however, congratulated the AAP for throwing out the Congress which could not open an account in the national capital.
The Unnao MP had earlier described Narendra Modi as a “divine power” and appreciated his “inclusive development” after ranting communal statements. The BJP issued a notice asking to explain what prompted him to make public statement that Hindu women should produce four children.
