The teenager, Bittu Singh, was in love with Veer Pal Kaur, a class IX student, residing in Rori village in Sirsa district. The young lovers were studying in the same school.
Veer’s parents who were against the relationship maintained that the girl sustained burn injuries while preparing tea at home on November 27. She struggled for life for two days and died.
