Shouting slogans against the military junta, over 50 protestors painted slogans and pasted posters on the walls of the Myanmar embassy located in the high-security Chanakyapuri area this morning.
The protestors were demanding the release of Nobel Peace laureate Aung San Suu Kyi and political prisoners and free and credible elections in the country.
They also demanded the United Nations set up a Commission of Inquiry for crimes against humanity and war crimes committed by the military junta.
The protestors were detained by police who took them to Chanakyapuri police station.
Myanmar is going to elections after 20 years this year though the exact date for the polls has not been announced.
The electoral laws announced by the regime include a ban on anyone serving prison terms from being a member of a political party, to form a party or to contest the elections.
