The first meeting of the Cauvery Water Management Authority meeting will be held in New Delhi on Monday in the chairmanship of Masood Hussain.
Hussian, who is also chairman of the Central Water Commission, will discuss water availability in the Cauvery basin reservoirs and outflow and inflow to reservoirs.
Since the Supreme Court fixed monthly quota of water to be released from Karnataka to Tamil Nadu, the Authority will discuss this issue also.
The panel is also likely to discuss the issue related to installing modern equipment to monitor inflow and outflow of water to reservoirs.
