“I have not seen the map; I hope someone has made a mistake. If it is not a mistake, then we will see (what should be done),” Chidambaram told reporters after meeting DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi at the latter’s Gopalapuram residence here.
Chidambaram is in town at the head of a five-member team constituted by Congress president Sonia Gandhi to discuss seat-sharing with the DMK for the coming assembly elections.
To a question by Deccan Herald on reports of attacks planned by some LTTE elements who had recently infiltrated into Tamil Nadu to disrupt the coming Assembly polls and targeting key leaders, the home minister said he promised to look into that issue as well.
Earlier, the five-member Congress team, including AICC spokesperson Jayanthi Natarajan, Shipping Minister G K Vasan, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president K V Thankkabalu and party MLA K Jayakumar representing the Dalits, had to do a tenuous balancing act with its ally, the DMK, on the alliance issue for the coming polls.
