The Centre on Thursday sought a report from the Kerala government on the crude bomb attack on BJP’s office in Thiruvananthapuram.

The BJP in Kerala observed black day and organised protest meets against the attack which occurred on Tuesday night. The party has charged that the ruling CPM is behind the attack.

BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan said the Centre was intervening to ensure that party-men can function without a threat to their lives. “The police investigation has not made any breakthrough. None of the attacks involving members of the CPM have been investigated,” Rajasekharan said.
