Aiming to build up better military relations with India, a high-level Chinese delegation headed by Defence Minister General Liang Guanglie will visit India for five days in the next week.
This is the first India visit by a Chinese defence minister in eight years and comes at a time when the two Asian neighbours are competing with each other for political and economic supremacy in Asia and expanding their region of influence.
Gen Guanglie will meet Defence Minister A K Antony and other top functionaries in the Central government.
