The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav on July 30 met Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and urged him to appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to start the caste-based Census campaign in the state.
“Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has said that he is in support of the caste-based Census. The CM will put forward a proposal in front of the Centre regarding this. It is important to enumerate caste-wise data in Census other than the SC and ST,” said RJD leader Tejashwi.
