A college professor was killed when his scooter was allegedly hit by the official car of Social Welfare Minister Dr M K Munner.
The incident occurred last night at nearby Kayamkulam.
Though the injured professor Shashi Kumar, Head of the department of Malayalam, NSS college, Chengnassery, was rushed to hospital by the Minister and his driver last night, his condition worsened and he died early today at the medical college hospital here, police said.
The deceased was returning home from college when the incident occurred, police said. A case has been registered against the driver.
