Braving attacks from opposition parties and IAC activists, the Congress, in a show of strength is holding a massive rally at Ramlila grounds here on Sunday.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi will be addressing the rally on the “present political scenario”.
The party is expected to launch a counter-offensive and target opposition leaders and India Against Corruption (IAC) activists, as the rally is being held at a time when Sonia and Rahul have been targeted by Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy.
The rally will be attended by the party’s Central leaders, Congress chief ministers, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chiefs, Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leaders, MPs, MLAs, party’s district and block level presidents and office bearers of all frontal organisations.
