New Delhi: Accusing the Opposition of selective outrage, Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan on Tuesday said that the Congress-led Opposition is engaging in a deliberate strategy to “create instability in the country”.
He said that while on one hand the Opposition carries the Constitution, on the other hand, it is questioning the democratic institutions of the country.
“Congress has been spreading lies on various issues, including EVMs and the Rafael deal, and now, they are even questioning the integrity of the Indian Army. The opposition is also questioning Election Commission – all of these is an attempt to undermine constitutional bodies, especially when electoral outcomes are not in their favour,” he said.
“This is a well-planned political strategy solely aimed at creating fear and using infiltrators as a vote bank. If the Opposition really wants to raise issues, it should present its evidence through proper channels, instead of doing so in press conferences. They should given it in an affidavit, instead of aiming to create ‘anarchy’,” Pradhan said in a press conference at the party headquarters.
